The IXP400 is Impro’s flagship system and embodies the concept of the IXP range – to be truly flexible. As is to be expected, requirements change from site to site and previously, off-the-shelf-systems could not comply with all customers needs. The IXP400 has been designed to allow complete control over all hardware and controller functions on the site. As such any event that occurs on the site can call any number of actions. This flexibility transforms the IXP400 into a site management tool that incorporates building management, elevator control and 3rd party software and hardware interaction.

The IXP400 is a network compatible system with modular client/server software package and Ethernet controllers. The software supports multiple sites all linking back to a central database and has advanced 3rd party development options such as Host Validation that allow the system to talk seamlessly with an existing ERP (enterprise Resource Package) such as SAP. In addition the system supports 3rd party hardware integration through a Wiegand port allowing units such as biometric readers to be configured in the system as a normal reader.

The IXP400 offers powerful software modules such as the GUI (Graphic User Interface) that offer real-time interaction with the site. From the GUI the administrator can monitor personal movement around the site as well as monitoring alarms status. The IXP400 supports a seamless integration with selected CCTV, Fire and Intrusion systems that can be displayed on the GUI in real-time. The CCTV integration allows the administrator full control over dome cameras as well as the ability to link events in the access control system to camera footage. The intrusion and fire integrations will indicate alarms on the GUI through icons placed in their respective positions on the floorplan. Both systems are then connected to the access control system and can initiate actions such as emergency unlock or alarm lockdown in the case of an alarm.

The IXP400 breaks the boundaries of the standard access control system and opens the door to complete control and management of a site. The core design of the system sets a powerful foundation while the software configuration offers unparallel flexibility.
